About Ash
My author journey began when I was in sixth form. Passionate about TV, games, and films, I absorbed so many different lessons and teachings that I wanted to put into my own story. At seventeen, I created Stellium, my first novel, alongside short stories and fan fiction. My friends and I loved anime and we used to make our own characters within existing shows and games series, just planting them into the narrative wherever they would fit.
During university I continued to develop the Dark Aether series. Studying Law with Criminology, my long term goal was to join the police. It was only after graduating I learned my eyesight wasn’t up to scratch.
Whilst I searched for where I belonged in the world, the Dark Aether series was forgotten in a computer folder until 2023. When I met my wife, I wanted to share it with her. Before letting her read it though, I reread and rewrote it, adding chapters and eventually mapping the entire storyline. This reignited my passion for writing, leading to State Zero and a new Amanda Webb series inspired by my interest in policing.
Once I got going with these two projects, ideas kept flooding in, filling me with inspiration. Even a title sparked glimpses of stories to bring to life. Releasing State Zero and Stellium together was my way of refusing to be boxed into one genre. Holding the first proof of Stellium, I knew this was my true path and whilst I wish I hadn’t given it up before, I know I’ll never stray again. More is always coming.
